CoWord converts MS Word into a real-time multi-user collaborative word processor. With CoWord, you and your collaborators can edit the same MS Word document at anytime (the same time or different times) over the Internet. Changes made to the document are immediately displayed for all users to see. See CoWord's collaboration features.
As CoWord retains the "look-and-feel" and functionalities of Word, you will be able to edit collaboratively in your familiar environment. See CoWord's editing features.
CoWord is currently Free for public use.
CoWord Tools package contains:
bullet point Collaborative Document Repository Browser (CoDRB), which provides a client-side user interface for managing shared documents and collaborative editing sessions;
bullet point CoWord, which converts MS Word into a real-time collaborative word processor;
bullet point CoPowerPoint, which converts MS PowerPoint converts into a real-time collaborative slide creation and presentation tool. This demo version works only with MS Powerpoint 2000.
If you wish to run your private document repository, then you need to install CoOffice Server. However, you can try out CoWord WITHOUT running your own server.
Without installing CoOffice server, you can try CoWord and CoPowerPoint with our demonstration server and documents hosted by School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
